The power of the phone

Ahhh, phones. Men usually hate them, teenage girls can’t live without them, babies love to take them, crawl off with them and figure out how to cram a sticky peanut butter sandwich into them. You don’t believe me, but I tell you—they know how to do it!

Phones come in all shapes, sizes and with attachments for your ears so you can dial with just your voice. Best of all-we can get reception just about anywhere on the planet!

Well, except my phone. I have T-Mobile and I’m lucky to get service at all.

The point is, we have this amazing mobile tool which can connect people in an instant, and yet how many of us are using this tool to our advantage? Not many I’ll wager.

You’re in a meeting, giving a presentation and you get stuck. Maybe the client asks a question you simply don’t know or have not heard before. Do you call your upline? What about thinking ahead and asking your upline, especially your Branch Manager—someone with experience and success under their belt, to assist you via phone at a given time?

Jubilee does it all the time. The results are wonderful when your clients can get on the phone, either over a speaker phone or on a linked 3-way call and ask the questions they have directly to the “expert”. Not only is it effective-it lends YOU credibility, because you’re connected with one who ‘knows the program’.

At Jubilee, we have our main number for the team (801-208-9492) routed directly to each and every one of our personal cell phones, so that none of you get missed if we can possibly help it. Sure, you might be calling Brad and get Lee-but Lee is committed to helping you just as if you were on his personal team. That’s just a single example of a good use of a phone.

See, this annoying little thing isn’t just for our daughters and telemarketers who love crashing your dinner a date time-it’s actually an effective tool.

Use it.

People Rarely Understand

People rarely understand that I had my dream job before the Money Merge Account and United First Financial. To do what you have dreamed of doing your entire life…to love it, and be good at it, only to set it aside because you experience something even greater. A purpose which not only changes your own life, but the lives of those you meet.

I have a great life. I married my sweetheart, the girl of my dreams and the pride of my soul. Best friends have been born as my own children. I have spent my days fighting dragons, crafting worlds without end, organizing governments, establishing economies, thwarting attacks from Ogres and Demons, while spending my evenings dancing with Elves and Pixies. I have traveled through time, seen the birth of a new Universe and rubbed shoulders with Heroes.

I’m a cartoonist and I made my living creating beautiful alternate realities for children all over the world. Places where your little ones could adventure, learn, grow and explore their own hearts and minds while safe in the folds of my God loving (and fearing) imagination. These comics were as educational as they were fun…so I am told (smile). Those who corrupted the minds of youth hated me when I called them on their perverted creations which taught the foulest aspects of our society as ‘the norm’, while those most respected in their fields blessed my days with rave reviews. I still love saying that out loud.

In short, I have always seen what I did as ‘affecting change’. It’s always been important to me, and driving force in my life. I wanted to show children that they were more than what society said they could be. That every human being IS special and unique, with the power to change their own stars. I wanted to show children how to think for themselves, to ask questions, to challenge their limits and become better than their parents. It’s what I teach my own children. To stand there, with my arm around these little ones, looking out over the horizon of their lives and ask them ‘what do you see?’

That was, and is, my hearts desire: to affect change. If for nothing else, because I believe in the beauty and potential of a human soul.

I personally believe that’s why I wanted to pursue United First Financial, why I wanted to work to create The Jubilee Project with the best friends I have ever had in my life: Ondi, Lee, Brad and Nathan. I wanted to affect change in a bigger way. I wanted to save families financially and create a tangible ripple in the fabric of society. Something that would be felt, seen and experienced for generations to come.

When Jubilee gets together each week, we are always focused on taking that next step in changing this country for the better. Finding ways to bless the lives of as many people as possible. Yes, it’s a larger than life goal…but it’s what we believe in. That is the drive that brings tears to my eyes, puts a fire in my belly and causes my heart to swell with compassion for every family that has had to financially struggle, due to conditioning and ‘life’. If you and I have ever spoken in person or over the phone, I hope you feel the passion in my conviction, not only for the Money Merge Account and United First Financial, but the passion to attain to something far greater than ourselves.

You may not see this opportunity in that light, and that’s ok. You may not even agree with my line of thought. However, if you accepted nothing else from this article, know this: you are important to us. You matter. It’s not the sales, it’s not the money. It’s the emotional fact that you chose to become a part of The Jubilee Project and assist us in affecting that change. Regardless of the reasons for joining our team, you are making this country a better place, and may God Bless you for that. We are not perfect. We don’t always have the answers, and we struggle just as much as any agents at times…but we see the future before it, and it is grand.

It’s worth fighting for, every step of the way.

I am a very happy man. I get to love those around me, and they love me in return. I have made more solid friendships in the last year, than I have had the privilege to have during the whole of my life. I get to be of service to each of you, and I take a measure of pride in knowing every waking hour I spend with Jubilee is building a mechanism to save the American Family from financial ruin, while taking care of the very needs of my own family. That’s what makes it nearly impossible to express my excitement, when I know for a fact that we have only just begun.

Here is to the greatest Team of United First Financial: The Jubilee Project.

A team that has become great…because of you.

Good Morning

I just got off the phone with a client that was a little discouraged that the bank had called him up this morning and told him that he had been approved for a $45,000 HELOC @ 9%.

He was upset that the payout the analysis showed would not be achievable with such a “high” interest rate. Truth be known, the default interest rate is 10% on my analysis software that I use to run my clients numbers. His analysis shows him that he could pay off his mortgage in 7.2 years. That is down from 28 years! I changed his interest rate to 19% and re-ran his analysis, what do you think it did to his pay out? I wish I could go to commercial now to help build the suspense.

It changes it to 7.3 years!!!

The banks and mortgage have done an extra ordinary job convincing us that rate is the determining factor. Rate, Rate, Rate, if you listen to the radio or watch TV you hear commercial after commercial pounding you on rate. Is this because they want to help the American homeowner get out of debt? No! It is to get us to refinance, so they can make another big fat commission.

Yes, rate does affect us, but TERM is what we need to focus on. That is what the UFF software does. It works 24 hours, seven days a week. Its purpose is to calculate the fastest pay off. The “fastest way to zero” is what we should all be focusing on.

Now I know that there are people out there that are filling entire hotel rooms to teach people that the way to get rich is to take every dime out of you equity out of their home and invest it, and the return on the money will be greater than the interest saved by using our system. Next time you are at one of those seminars ask the presenter, Who does the refinance? If it is them or an affiliate…RUN!!! This is how they are becoming rich, not by using the system that they are peddling.

There are two other reasons that I can see why to use the MMA rather than these “investment programs”. One is that the Bible tells us over and over again to GET OUT OF DEBT. I have searched and searched where it might say to mortgage your home to the hilt to build wealth. Nothing.

The other is more personal. Three years ago my wife was in a horrible car accident. We have nine children that were traumatized beyond anything that a child should have to go through. We didn’t know if our children would lose their mother or if she would be in a wheel chair the rest of her life. Going through this situation has clarified for me what I should be doing for my family. I know that I have no business gambling with the equity in my home. Paying off my mortgage and solidifying the financial future of my family is the right thing to do for my family.

After I pay off my primary mortgage I can be more aggressive with investment properties that I have the ability to pick up along the way.

Thanks again,

Lee Bradshaw, Co-Founder of The Jubilee Project

P.S. My wife is doing great. At times it has been very hard. We know what doesn’t destroy you will make you stronger. We expect her to make a full recovery.

Growing pains and Mortgage pains

Simon is only 8 months old. He’s my youngest of nine beautiful children, but he has experienced what none of his siblings has experienced, and that’s half a mouthful of teeth at nearly the same time. His teething sessions are so long, painful and excruciating, with fevers, screaming and many long, sleepless nights for my sweet wife and myself.

Last night, I watched Simon as he rolled around on our bed, crying, sobbing and at times screaming with pain that could not be comforted. The sad part was, I knew this process had happened a couple weeks ago, and it will happen again in three to five weeks as more teeth come in. It was inevitable pain, and there was nothing my wife and I could do about it.

How many of us are struggling, twisting and turning from the pain of our mortgage payments? Many of us, because of life’s circumstances have even increased the pain by trying to buy a home through sub-prime loans. The stress of knowing that the slightest glitch in our lives could create a chain of events that could take that home away and do even more long term damage (financially) to our lives. 30 years we plan to struggle with this pain and trouble.

And yet, we go back to our Lenders, who see us withering in agony over the accumulated debt, and offer not a solution, but a moments breath before the cycle of agony starts all over again, for another 30 year cycle. The hole is now deeper and harder to get out of…but we do it, because there is no other way, and you know the cycle will happen again in three to five years.

Sounds like Simons teething again, doesn’t it?

The difference is, there IS a better way…for you and for me, when it comes to our mortgages. A way to stop the pain, to take control of our future and our debts, and not only be set free once and for all…but create ongoing wealth for our future.

It starts with The Jubilee Project and the Money Merge Account.

Stop the pain.
